OUR PURPOSE:
The Community Awareness team of HOSA from Harmony School of Innovation- Sugar Land is hosting Glo Run 2017! Come join us at Sugar Land Memorial Park and Brazos River Corridor on January 21, 2017 for a night full of glow. GLO RUN 2017 is a marathon/walkathon where participants can walk or run around the park's trail from 6 PM to 9 PM. The park will be lit with all of the participant's glow in the dark materials available with their admission packages. All of the money made from the event will go to the American Heart Association in support of fundings for Metabolic Syndrome treatments.
Metabolic syndrome is defined as a group of various conditions including a high blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat in the waist, and unusual cholesterol levels. The condition increases an individual's risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and diabetes. Individuals with a family history of type 2 diabetes, a history of cardiovascular disease, and are overweight or obese have the highest risk of obtaining metabolic syndrome. It is, however, possible to avoid obtaining metabolic syndrome by maintaining a heart healthy diet and regularly exercising.
GLO RUN 2017:
The event will be held at 15300 University Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77479. The trail will be (___) miles long. Participants will be able to purchase any of the admission packages listed in the table.

PRIZES:
- A prize will be given to the runner/walker who has ran/walked the most laps between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. There will be monitors at the START LINE to count how many laps each person has ran/walked. The winner of this prize will be announced at 7:00 PM.
- Each admission package includes a certain amount of raffle tickets. The more raffle tickets you have, the better chance you have of winning one of the raffle prizes. Random names will be selected and these raffle prizes will be handed out at (INSERT TIME). If you would like to have an even higher chance of winning a raffle prize, you may purchase more raffle tickets.
FOOD/DRINKS/GLOW IN THE DARK SHOP:
- Each admission package includes a certain amount of food tickets. With these tickets, you may redeem any food item or drink sold at the concession stand.
- Glow in the dark materials are also available with your admission package. Additional glow in the dark materials are available to purchase at the glow in the dark stand.
